Building a blaster? Want to do it yourself? This kit contains the parts needed to modify your Denix C-96 Mauser replica to make it ready for a scope mount and scope (sold separately.)
Our kit includes:
- 1 steel bull barrel, tapped with 1/2-28 threads at each end (as seen when it first appeared in the movie "Naked Runner") Barrel has a 7.65mm bore (un-rifled) through the center. The bottom of the barrel is milled flat. Blued finish.
- 1 steel MG81 flash hider replica with black oxide finish.
- 1 steel MG81 flash hider mounting collar with black oxide finish
- 1 steel hex socket drive cap head screw with black oxide oil finish
- 1 steel set screw with black oxide finish for the adapter.
- 3 Veron model kit cylinders made of black ABS to construct the "grille"
- 1 piece of cabinet door track made of black PVC
- 2 Allen wrenches are included for assembly
This parts kit is intended for those comfortable with metal/plastic work. A milling/drilling machine is highly recommended. In addition, you will need a micrometer, end mill bit, 29/64" drill bit, 1/2"-28 thread tap, and allen wrenches . To attach the barrel, you will need to cut the cast barrel off of your Denix and drill and tap a hole for the new barrel (threads are 1/2" - 28 UNEF). Assembling the grille will require cutting each cylinder (only a portion is used) and gluing to the front of the Denix model. The greeblies only require minimal shaping before gluing to the top of the barrel.

You could spend a lot of time and money for something only half as good
When I started my blaster build, I scoured online forums, Etsy, eBay and hardware stores trying to come up with reasonable facsimiles of the DL-44's iconic flash hider and cooling grill, along with the bull barrel and greebles. After adding up all the potential costs, I realized I'd be spending just as much if not more and end up with components that aren't half as good. And that's assuming those jury-rigged alternatives would have even assembled properly. In addition to this kit being an all-in-one solution, these components are simply DEAD ON accurate and just exude quality. If you're interested in a highly screen accurate, extremely HEAVY DUTY blaster build, spend a little time researching the alternatives and you'll discover what an outstanding value Todd's Costumes is providing to the fan community.

Todd's Costumes has done an amazing job at recreating these iconic parts for the legendary Han Solo ANH DL-44 Blaster with their "DL-44 Blaster Gun Accessory Kit". The parts are extremely screen accurate and are made to last. Each part is recreated to look exactly like the original parts on the screen used prop. The price for this Accessory Kit is unbeatable for it's quality, just the Flash Hider alone should cost what this entire Kit costs!? I'm beyond excited to finally be able to build the blaster of my childhood dreams and now I can, and not feel like I'm having to sell my soul to the nerd gods. Aside from the extremely affordable pricing, the build quality on these parts is really great. Simply perfect. Flash hider, bull-barrel, upper antennas, all screws and tools included. Each piece fits the other with no hesitation, detailing is way better than my wildest dreams. For this price, I don't think that anything over the Internet can beat Todd's blaster parts. I'll stay tuned for more. This is a promise :)
